Razor Network, Oracle's decentralized, permissionless network, is now seamlessly integrated into the XDC network. This strategic collaboration provides significant benefits to developers by providing access to real pricing data for their applications, thereby enhancing the functionality and capabilities of decentralized applications running on the XDC network.
Revolutionizing Data Retrieval: Razor Network's Bridge V2 and the Transition to a Pull-Based Architecture
The latest enhancement to the Razor Network, the introduction of Bridge V2, signifies a move to a Pull-based architecture. Unlike previous versions, where oracle operators directly updated price streams on individual blockchains, this version allows users to retrieve prices dynamically across the network when needed.
Once consensus on price streams is reached, the data is signed by a trusted Razor Oracle operator and stored off-chain. The release includes a new REST API that provides access to this off-chain data. In cases where on-chain price updates are needed, users can execute a single transaction to update the on-chain price, making it easier to use in subsequent protocols. This transaction utilizes an off-chain service to retrieve the necessary data, authenticating the signed data on the blockchain and providing users with the updated price.
This innovative approach enables Razor Network Oracle to efficiently update a huge number of price streams across different blockchains. It strengthens the security of prevailing protocols, reducing the risks associated with delayed Oracle updates, especially during periods of high gas prices or unpredictable market conditions.
