Ethereum has no shortage of detractors and enemies. However, few have published such a long post with scathing accusations as Bram Cohen, the creator of BitTorrent and now the head of Chia - and therefore definitely having his own angle in the game, at least in terms of interests in attacking Vitalik Buterin's platform.
An attack on the old narrative of Ethereum as a worldwide computer, in addition to the destruction of Solidity - which would be a security nightmare - and in general on the attitudes of those who support the Ethereum protocol.
Stupid ideas
Bram Cohen's post caught even the most ardent opponents of Ethereum by surprise, even those accustomed to Twitter's caustic language.
A topic that those who follow the diatribes between, for example, the more fundamentalist Bitcoin and Ethereum enthusiasts have probably already heard. We are talking about the old narrative animating Ethereum, which was later replaced, at least in part, by a hard currency narrative.
And here, perhaps, lies the crux of the matter, according to Cohen, who accuses EVM and Solidity, the standards on which Ethereum's entire smart contract system is based, of being nothing more than garbage.
All Against Ethereum
The exceptionally high fees of recent days seem to have given strength to Ethereum opponents. Just yesterday, the head of Solana accused the network of not being able to function even with just one successful application - in this case Pepe - in the short term.
Who knows if any answers will come from Ethereum employees, who can still make excuses - especially for Chia - that it is by far the most widely used network in cryptospace.
