Fantom 2023 Forecast: Possible Scenarios at FTM

Fantom is back in late 2022 and, at least looking at the trajectories, it seems to offer itself as one of the most interesting tokens for 2023.
Back at zero
With the return of Andre Cronje, it seems that the enthusiasm around Fantom is back to what it used to be. We have left behind the narrative that there is nothing behind Ethereum, although the network led by Vitalik Buterin is nonetheless on schedule in terms of planned innovation.
The return of the king, if you can call it that, could serve as a collector for a lot of news about Fantom, as well as a newfound morale, which will ultimately increase the interest that the $FTM token manages to gain among enthusiasts and speculators.
Credit
Fantom is a high-performance blockchain, making its horizontality one of its strengths. This performance has already been able to gain support among Dapps, who have chosen this infrastructure as their base.
However, the war on performance is an end in itself if it does not translate into constant growth in LTV and appeal to projects and users. Because in terms of performance, new networks emerge that try to outperform what's already available, but can't get anything out of the hole in terms of market value. Power is nothing without users.
Several competitors are stranded
Some competitors, more or less direct, seem to have opened 2023 in a quandary. And that's a real predicament that may continue for some time to come. We'll see if Fantom can take advantage of these competitive setbacks, or if the freed market share will go to other projects that we may not yet know about.
But at least for now, Fantom seems to be in the front lines to capture at least some of the attention that was still being focused on struggling projects some time ago.
What does Ethereum do?
Many believe that Ethereum's move to a sharding system, which should greatly improve its performance, will be the last word for many alternative projects.
Correlation with bitcoin
It is high, as it is for the entire industry. Wisdom desires diversified investments even among uncorrelated assets. But there are also those who want to try to take advantage of the increased impatience with altcoins.
Spirit of Punk
Of all the projects aimed at institutional clients, Fantom is probably the most punk, both in terms of communication and in terms of how the chain actually works. It's something that perhaps appeals more to the free spirits of the cryptocurrency world than the more closed chains.
Fantom, however, has a lot to offer seriously, if you will. The system is reliable, offers many technical features and is a complete and robust ecosystem.
TVL is already good
It's in the top ten, although it's relatively little talked about compared to networks that have generally been less successful. To gauge how good a particular chain is, you have to start from there. So far, the numbers are on Fantom's side.
