Not a bad day for the altcoin world: some of them, even outside of the Ethereum magic circle, have grown into double digits. Among them is Aptos, which, according to many analysts, reached double-digit growth thanks to a curious endorsement, possibly unintentional, from Elon Musk.
Elon Musk's seemingly incomprehensible tweet containing the AI formula APT OTT, which seems to have no exact meaning, must have triggered the usual buying by speculators, although there seems to be no direct connection between the head of Twitter and the Aptos project.
In a market that is always on the lookout for some kind of hoax, it was enough to see some important profits from the project, which in any case has some substance at its core and certainly cannot be considered a meme, which is usually associated with Musk's machinations.

What happened between Aptos and Musk and what is true?

What is true? Absolutely nothing. The tweet was deleted, and Musk commented on its removal.
A mystery within a mystery, which, however, does not seem to have deterred those who had the money, perhaps even the leverage, to invest in Aptos. An investment that, for those who made it in time, meant significant profits on an already happy day for the industry.

No, there's no connection between the two

There is no connection between Elon Musk and the Aptos project, and there seems to be no reason for anything to develop. The head of Twitter yesterday opened access to cryptocurrencies in the social sphere by entering into a partnership with eToro, which will allow platform users to buy what this trading intermediary offers. Beyond that, however, we are not aware of any initiatives, either with Aptos or with other projects. Therefore, as it has already happened with other cryptocurrencies - particularly Dogecoin - this will be another market foolishness, which will react to every signal, even unintentional, from Musk in the same way.

Beware: this is almost never a good strategy

Usually Elon Musk's extemporaneous statements are followed by ups and then corrections. We stand by our idea, which we have already explained enough in other similar circumstances. There is nothing reliable about this type of investment, and those who would like to place some of their risk capital in $APT are best advised to study the protocol thoroughly - also with our guide - and then make somewhat more structured evaluations.
The project may be interesting, but it shouldn't be so just for these exits, which are completely detached from any relationship, commercial or otherwise, between them.
It is better to stay away from them-not because Aptos is a bad project, but because they cannot be a reliable basis for choosing one investment over another. And no, as we said last time, this is not Musk's fault.
