Hack for Sushiswap. Already $3.3 million is missing. What happened and how to protect yourself?
The SushiSwap exchange has announced that it has been hit by a hacking attack that has reportedly already resulted in the loss of more than $3.3 million in countercurrency. The decentralized exchange urged all users to withdraw all permissions, which was also echoed by DEX leader Jared Gray via his official Twitter account.
The bug also came at an extremely difficult time for SushiSwap, as the decentralized exchange is also facing legal problems with the SEC, for which the community is also preparing to raise money.
Hackers took advantage of a bug: 3 million people are already missing
The attack, which, at least for now, has already netted the hacker who orchestrated it 3 million euros.
The extent of the problem and especially how many wallets have been affected is still unclear. The advice is to go to Revoke and remove all permissions granted to the ecosystem, especially if you interacted with the Sushiswap ecosystem.
The security problems with several DeFi protocols continue - while the industry is still in its infancy, yet is exchanging millions of euros day in and day out, with some DEXs surpassing even centralized crypto exchanges in daily volumes.
