The Ralph Lauren store in Miami has partnered with BitPay and will accept cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ether and Matic as payment.
Ralph Lauren will accept Bitcoin, Ether and Matic as payment. This is an announcement from the popular fashion group, which will launch a similar pilot project in its Miami store. The news was shared by the brand itself through its official Twitter account. Cryptocurrency payments are being accepted thanks to a partnership with BitPay, which will allow the group to accept various cryptocurrencies, following the path already taken by several equally related brands. All of this comes at a time when we are still in a period of relative uncertainty for the industry as a whole, both for reasons more closely related to market trends and because of constant and repeated attacks from regulators, especially in the U.S.
A step forward for cryptocurrency and Bitcoin adoption?
The amount the Ralph Lauren store can move may not be enough to affect the market. But when it comes to news like this one, it doesn't matter.
