Azimut is betting on blockchain technology: $40 million investment in Alps Blockchain
Azimut's investment will allow Alps Blockchain to increase its mining capacity and go international.
Azimut, one of Europe's leading asset management companies, recently announced that it has facilitated a club deal to invest in Alps Blockchain, a leading company developing blockchain-based mining infrastructure.
Azimut's total investment is 40 million euros and is being made through two group companies: Azimut Enterprises and Azimut Direct Investment in Alps Blockchain.
The agreement includes an equity component, the acquisition of about 45% of the company, and a bond component, the provision of a convertible loan.
This investment is an important step forward for Azimut in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency mining, a rapidly growing and promising field. Moreover, this investment is in line with Azimut's strategy to diversify into sectors with high growth potential.
On the other hand, Alps Blockchain has established itself as an innovative company capable of competing internationally, thanks to its expertise in mining and its ability to develop renewable energy sources. Thanks to Azimut's investment, the company will be able to expand its operations and strengthen its leading position in the market, as well as take advantage of the great opportunities that the sector offers for international expansion.
